Ki Pro GO is a robust and powerful capture solution ideal for house of worship workflows. To reach congregations around the world, worship facilities are increasingly integrating the latest production technologies to provide audiences with the highest quality content across a range of viewing platforms.
During services, worship band performances and congregation events, Ki Pro GO by AJA Video Systems is capable of recording in-venue from a range of sources, including DSLRs, HDMI or SDI cameras.
Ki Pro GO provides house of worship productions with high-quality, cost-effective H.264 SD and HD recording and playback, merging ease of operation, robustness and high-quality hardware encode and decode. Ki Pro GO is the next generation of AJA’s Ki Pro family of production-proven, file-based recording and playback devices, combining intuitive design and flexibility into a compact 2RU, half-rack width form factor.
AJA’s family of Ki Pro recording devices have set the precedent and quality standards for ProRes and Avid recording in hardware, and Ki Pro GO leverages the same trusted technology while providing lower bandwidth, lower cost, multi-channel SD and HD video recording and playback for H.264 codecs.
Versatile and portable, Ki Pro GO is targeted at a range of production scenarios, where H.264 is the primary capture format, including house of worship, live events, concerts, sports stadiums, corporate, medical, training and beyond. Genlock-free recording eliminates the need to synchronize four input sources, while redundant recording provides multiple backups in the field to ensure recorded video is protected.
Four 3G-SDI and four HDMI ports ensure a high-quality source with standard cabling compatibility options. Video and audio input matrix channel mapping simplify switching between physical inputs to the appropriate recording channel within the device’s UI from a mix of source inputs as needed.
HDMI multi-channel monitoring during recording enables the device to display up to four channels of video as a matrix monitoring output on one HDMI or SDI monitor. Ki Pro GO supports up to 15 Mbs at 8-bit and 4:2:0 color depth for any channel assignment, depending on the delivery need or eventual bandwidth allocation for the file’s playback stream.
AJA developed Ki Pro GO to provide content creators with an affordable H.264 capture solution to meet increasing consumer demand for accessible, high-quality video. As audiences have become accustomed to viewing high-end film, television and digital content across a range of devices – whether at home, on-the-go, at venues or live events – content creators are tasked with meeting consumer demand and require a cost-effective solution for streamlining capture and delivery in H.264, the most widely used codec and industry standard for video compression.
High quality H.264 recording via Ki Pro GO provides video professionals with a simplified capture chain and an efficient encoding path for a range of distribution devices and OTT viewing. Using Ki Pro Go, professionals can more easily capture high quality, low-bandwidth content, while also reaping the benefits of being able to record to affordable USB storage devices.
